Light Academy was born out of great concern resulting from the negative influence that secular schools have on young children. This influence in turn shapes their future. Most of our educational systems are not Christ-friendly and this is a major cause of moral decay in society. Having been given a burden to nurture children, I realized that the amount of time I spent with them was too little and was insufficient to shape their world-view in comparison to the time they spent with outside influences.

In the effort to instill Christian values, I realized that the effect of other non-Christian value systems were very strong; especially at their early impressionable stage. It dawned on me that many Christian families were facing the same challenge. It is at this point that Haven Light Academy vision was born.

The school embraces the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) with the view of creating a Christian learning environment that is conducive to the development of the whole person both academically and morally. HLA takes a child from where they are and helps bring them to their God ordained purpose both spiritually and professionally.
